This summer, PMI Romania joins an innovative initiative together with PMI Switzerland and six other European PMI chapters: The Netherlands, Belgium, Madrid, Barcelona, Poland and our own PMI Romania, in support of THE GREAT WALK. This inspiring campaign is led by Andrew and Toby, two formerly homeless men from Homeless Entrepreneur, who are walking over 880 kilometers across five countries, from Linz to Madrid, to raise awareness about homelessness and social exclusion. Homeless Entrepreneur’s mission is to promote economic empowerment and reduce poverty through active citizenship and strategic partnerships. Their goal is to help people facing social exclusion improve their quality of life by promoting employment opportunities and civic engagement. PMI’s role extends beyond facilitating project management; it is about leading with purpose and making meaningful societal contributions. By supporting THE GREAT WALK, PMI is highlighting its commitment to social responsibility, leveraging our leadership, communication and community engagement skills to amplify the campaign’s message across Europe. This initiative is more than just a walk. It is a movement that demands visibility, empathy and collective action. It shows how project management principles such as leadership, planning and collaboration can be channeled towards creating positive change in society. We invite all members and partners to follow the journey, share the story and explore opportunities to get involved. Together, we can promote the initiative and make a difference.
